Moths appear to like hanging out in empty egg boxes. Who knew? I'm told it's something to do with the warmth and texture of the cardboard. 'Light Trap' might be a misleading term for the process—we were not catching moths with miniature nooses or snares. They are simply drawn to the light and are inclined to stay where it is warm and bright. For me one of the most interesting things about this is that nobody yet fully understands why moths are drawn to light in this way.
